Skateboards are made of three main parts

By Todd Martin

The wheels of a skateboard come in a lot of different sizes and hardness. These wheels are made of a rubber like material called urethane. The size and hardness of the wheels have an effect on the easiness of the ride on a skateboard, how fine it handles, as well as its velocity. Skateboard wheels are usually 52 mm to 60 mm and include their own ball bearings fitted. Street skateboard wheels are typically very hard, which let them to decelerate fast as well as accumulate energy as you move about. Park wheels are generally made of a softer urethane for improved grip and handling. Present day skateboard wheels are bidirectional, with the intention of they can be attached in any direction not like the wheels on a car or the rear wheel of a bike. This means that if the edges begin to wear, you can flip the wheels and utilize them on the other side. Skateboard wheels are attached to the trucks by hex head axle bolts plus ABEC (or another company's) ball bearings to offer the free turning movement of the wheels.

Skateboard trucks are axles fastened to a baseplate and are made of an aluminum alloy moreover they are extremely sturdy. Trucks come in a lot of different shapes, sizes and colors. These trucks are made from special cast metal and let the skater to rotate the board. Accordingly how firmly the nut on the kingpin is held, the trucks can be slack or rigid identical to the suspension of a car. The key reason behind trucks that are not rigid is to allow you to rotate or flip without lifting your front wheels off the floor. The free your trucks are, the more you will be able to tilt in one way or the other way.

Skateboard wheels do not only maintain your skateboard rolling but are as well in charge for maintaining you on your feet as you deal with different landscape. Wheels are fasten to the axles of the trucks by means of a hex bolt also there are 8 bearings, two put in into every wheel with a spacer between these bearings.

These skateboard wheels come in different sizes, from 48 to 100 mm, and different hardness. A good number skateboard wheels, similar to mentioned above, are made of urethane, plus boast a hardness rating printed on the wheel for example, 95a or 100a regularly with an "a" following the number. The higher is the number the harder the wheel. For example, a 101a wheel is harder than a 95a. A 100a or 101a is appropriate for street riding but on ramps as well as in a skateboard park 95a would be better.

As a result, a skateboard has three most important parts these include, the deck, the trucks like royal skateboard truck, and the wheels. The deck is the flat part on top where you set your feet. The trucks are fastened to the bottom of the deck; it also acts as suspension and axles for the deck along with wheels. The wheels are attached onto the ends of the trucks and have wheel bearings as a consequence the wheels can rotate. Wheels come in different sizes and hardness to support you to modify your ride.
